Jake Ferry - Program Director

Coach Jake has over a decade of experience as a Sports Performance Coach working with youth, high school and collegiate athletes. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Castleton University where he was a 4 year starter for the Men's Soccer team. In 2012 he moved to Western Massachusetts where he began coaching athletes as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Later on he attended Springfield College, earning his Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology. Coach Jake has also been a club and high school soccer coach since 2012.   


Brandon Palmer

Coach Brandon brings extensive knowledge to the RSP team with his background in personal training and Track & Field coaching.  Coach Brandon currently serves as head coach of the Northampton High School track team, and is an assistant track coach at both Smith College & Wheaton College. During his time in Northampton, he led the team to five undefeated seasons, nine Western Mass Championship Titles, and two D4 State Championships. Due to his efforts he was named MSTCA Coach of the Year three times. Palmer was a 2010 graduate of Westfield State University, where he was a four year member of the track and field team. During his athletic career he was a 13x MASCAC individual champion, a 6x MASCAC athlete of the week, and the 2010 Westfield State University Athlete of the Year.


Tucker Newman

Coach Tucker comes to us with a background as an athlete, personal trainer, and football coach. He previously worked for Umass Football where he spent two years on their coaching staff. As an athlete Tucker was a standout Cornerback at Union College (NY) where he was named D3football.com 1st Team All-East Region, 1st Team All-Liberty League, and ECAC Honorable Mention. He also was a three sport varsity athlete at Suffield Academy where he played Football, Basketball, and Lacrosse in the highly competitive NEPSAC Class A League. His experience in contact sports and versatility as an athlete has given him an understanding of how to train athletes for performance and injury prevention. Tucker currently works as a personal trainer with a NASM-CPT certification and is studying for his NSCA CSCS certification.
